Sarah “Sassie” Duggleby
Sarah “Sassie” Duggleby, co‑founder and CEO of Venus Aerospace, the Houston‑based startup designing a hypersonic aircraft. The idea is to carry you from San Francisco to Tokyo and still have you home for dinner.
Sassie is far more than a tech visionary. She’s a wife, a mom of two, a former stay‑at‑home parent, and a leader who has raised more than $60 million while building a culture that “loves employees as Christ loves the Church.” Under her guidance, Venus’s “home‑for‑dinner” mission isn’t just about speed; it’s about valuing people over output and modeling a distinctly Christian approach in the business world.
From early stints at National Instruments and Virgin Orbit to being named an Inc. 2024 Female Founder, Sassie has pursued a calling that fuses cutting‑edge engineering with a Gospel‑shaped heart for family, stewardship, and generosity. She’s here to share how faith became her true north on a journey that’s taking flight—literally—at rocket speed.
Sassie graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and she also holds an MBA degree from Virginia Tech
